Responsibilities

- 1 Hardware Developments
Job Description: The hardware development engineering positions requires intimate knowledge of a personal computer. This position is not only responsible for debugging all hardware issues, but also validating designs of new hardware by writing diagnostics routines. Depending on the engineer, this position has the opportunity to drive the creation of future hardware that AMD will use to test future microprocessors. This position also requires communication with HW and SW developers in Suzhou, Singapore, and Austin. Training opportunities are available depending on the individual applying for this position.

- 4 Software Developments
Job Description: This position will provide engineers an opportunity to program all aspects of a personal computer. This includes programming opportunities in graphical interfaces, BIOS, firmware, and general test program development. Each of these software areas provides unique challenges by looking at a personal computer from a different perspective. This position also requires communication with HW and SW developers in Suzhou, Singapore, and Austin. Training opportunities are available depending on the individual applying for this position.

- 1 Product Integration
Job Description: The product integration role requires someone that can coordinate activities among the teams in Suzhou as well as teams in Singapore and Austin. The key task for this role is to understand the product that we are manufacturing and then drive appropriate actions to make our product world class and to deliver to our customers what they expect. Being an excellent ��explainer�� is one of the key attributes to this position. At a minimum, this engineer will be able to take a product from introduction to production. Depending on the engineer, the opportunity is for this individual will grow to take on bigger products that will virtually control hundreds of people. - 1 Thermal & Power
Job Description: The thermal and power role is a very special role for our team. This engineer will learn about thermal challenges when testing a microprocessor. The expectation is for this engineer to not only characterize, but also drive improvements. The opportunities for this engineer is that he can invent new solutions to our everyday problems. Furthermore, understanding our power challenges is just as exciting. As microprocessors move forward, power is a big issues. The engineer will learn and apply new power solutions. Training opportunities are available depending on the individual applying for this position.

- 1 IT (network)
Job Description: The IT position is a very unique position. The IT engineer will need to not only understand how servers and networks work, but also how windows and the networks inside a system works. This unique position will provide the opportunity for the engineer to analyze network systems internal to a personal computer as well as its immediate surroundings. It's doing IT work in a very unique setting. This person will also have to interface with Singapore and Austin counterparts. Training opportunities are available depending on the individual applying for this position.

- 1 Yield Analysis
Job Description: Yield analysis as AMD is a skill not mastered my many. This engineer will be required to help look at data s-that we can take the right actions. Understanding how to look at data using state of the art statistics tools is the most exciting part of this job. Depending on the engineer, this position will drive the PDE organization to maintain the world class engineering team that it is today. This engineer is expected to interface with Singapore and Austin on a daily basis. Training opportunities are available depending on the individual applying for this position.

Must have: C++; Java; system level test experience; scripting experience;

- 1 Product Integration
Must have: semiconductor knowledge; project planning experience; operations background; new product introduction background
Nice to have: ATE experience; system level test experience

- 1 Thermal Power
Must have: semiconductor knowledge; manufacturing background; understands thermal theory; understands power supplies;
Nice to have: ATE experience; system level test experience

- 1 IT (network)
Must have: Network; Windows administrator; Server;
Nice to have: ATE experience; system level test experience

- 1 Yield Analysis
Must have: manufacturing background; black belt; statistics; KPI; 6 sigma
Nice to have: ATE experience; system level test experience
