Responsibility

- Establish and execute production schedule, in coordination with the ge Energy Solar Technologies team.
- Work effectively to maximize manufacturing capacity to meet established build schedule.
- Clearly communicate daily performance metrics containing: daily production, variance to plan material scrap, and finished goods inventory totals. Identify and resolve issues as needed.
- Work seamlessly with on-site facilities leadership, ge on-site Quality Control Leader, ge Sourcing, and Operations based in Delaware.
- Work closely with onsite Quality Control Leader to monitor adherence to product specifications, bills of material, and the Manufacturing Process Plan (MPP).
- Instill a lean manufacturing philosophy thru training, facilitating workouts, and analyzing current practices for improvement.
- Cultivate a culture of "Safety, Quality, Flow - with Integrity" through the development of goals, objectives and relevant metrics, a systematic review of performance, and ongoing continuous improvement activities
- Additional responsibilities (which may involve some travel throughout China & outside of the factory) include support of the onsite Sourcing Quality Engineer's efforts to expand supplier base for solar production in China.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in technical or related field.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
- Six Sigma greenbelt with Lean manufacturing experience (ge employees only)
- Ability to speak/read/write fluently in English and Mandarin languages.
- Ability to travel domestically as required and travel to the U.S. (1-2 times per year)
- Proficient in Microsoft tools.

- OMLP Graduate
- Leadership experience in a production environment.
- Experience in outsourced production relationship.
